About Department.

The department of chemistry, Shri Vasantrao Naik Mahavidyalaya Dharni, established in the year 2002, conducts choice based credit system CBCC) 6 semester course in chemistry with other 2 elective subjects.Since inception of the department, over more than 2000 students pursued their bachelor degree.The Department has eminent and well qualified Staff of four Assistant Professors. To impart quality education in chemistry with the excellence of research there are two well equipped laboratory with necessary instruments, apparatus and infrastructure to perform various experiments in chemisty

Departmental Activities.

The department commences in every year scientific awareness programme in various schools and colleges in periphery of the college. The aim of this programme to aware about science and application of chemistry to iradicate superstitions. The Department conducts group discussion in each session to promote deeper understanding of topic and to increase long term retension of it, to enhance the participative Learning. The Department also conducts poster presentations to communicate research, understanding of topic in concise and visually impactful format of various scientific burning issues.
