About Department.

The department of Economics is established in 1974. We offer three-year (semester pattern) degree course in Economics. AS per SGBAU guidelines CBCS system is also Implemented by parent university from 2022 - 23. The department have highly decorated faculty with great academic excellence. Almost 70-80 students are admitted in the department every year. The Department inspires students to pursue P.G. course in recognised universities and also encourage students for preparation of exams for civil services. In short the primary focus of department is to produce student with comprehensive understanding of the subject.

Departmental Activities.

The activities organised by the Department of Economics.

1) The economics department regularly organises guest lectures on various socio-economic issues.

2) The department conducts direct visits to Banks, Co-operative Societies, Agricultural Production Committees for the students and we also encourage to students to arrange financial literacy program.

3) The Department also arrange educational activities like Conducting Business Skill Camps, Banking Workshops and Poster Presentations in Small Scale Enterprises.
