About Department.
The department of History is established in 1974. The department offers three-year (semester pattern) degree course in History. As per SGBAU guidelines CBCS system is also Implemented by parent university from 2022 - 23. In granted stream we admit almost 120 students. In non-grant stream about 50-70 students are admitted in the department. Every year 5 to 10 student move forward to pursue Post graduations from recognised Universities and Colleges. The department encourage pursue careers in the civil services. We also have Ph.D Research Centre with maximum admission capacity of 2 students.
Departmental Activities.
Activities performed by Department of History every year.
1) Field Visits to local historical places in order to inspire curiosity in own heritage.
2) Department organises guests seminars & lectures to inculcate profound understanding of the subject.
